Community Outreach & Partnerships Intern
Focus: Build and manage relationships with AFC Ann Arbor’s community partners and coordinate their game day involvement.
- Serve as point of contact for community partners (e.g., Food Gatherers, A2Zero, Neutral Zone).
- Schedule and coordinate partner activations at home games (tables, recognitions, giveaways).
- Manage logistics for partner tickets and promotions.
- Assist in creating post-match recaps and end-of-season community impact reporting.
Timing & Commitment: Start immediately; 6–10 hrs/week through July. Most home games on weekends.
Suggested Majors: Sport Management, Nonprofit Management, Community & Global Engagement, Communications, Public Policy.
Media & Broadcast Intern
Focus: Create engaging media coverage and storytelling for AFC Ann Arbor through interviews, sideline reporting, and video features that connect fans to players, coaches, and the club’s culture.
- Conduct pre- and post-match interviews and assist with live sideline coverage.
- Produce short-form videos and features for social media and web.
- Collaborate with social and graphics interns on multimedia storytelling.
- Support matchday media operations, including press coordination.
Timing & Commitment: Start by April; 6–10 hrs/week through July, including home matches (mostly weekends).

Video Production & Content Intern
Focus: Produce engaging video content that tells the AFC Ann Arbor story year-round — from highlight reels and behind-the-scenes clips to creative short videos using existing club footage.
- Edit and repurpose existing game and event footage into social-ready videos.
- Capture new video at team events, trainings, and matches during the season.
- Create highlight reels, hype videos, and storytelling features.
- Collaborate with the social media and graphic design teams for cohesive content.
Timing & Commitment: Start immediately; 6–10 hrs/week through July, with flexible hours in offseason and match coverage during season.

Social Media & Digital Engagement Intern
Focus: Grow AFC Ann Arbor’s digital presence through creative social media content, timely matchday coverage, and consistent storytelling that reflects the club’s values and community focus.
- Plan and post daily content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok).
- Create engaging captions, polls, and stories that drive fan interaction.
- Provide live matchday coverage (photos, clips, score updates).
- Track and report weekly engagement metrics to guide content strategy.
Timing & Commitment: Start immediately; 6–10 hrs/week through July, including home match coverage on weekends.

Graphic Design Intern
Focus: Create visual content that brings AFC Ann Arbor’s seasonal graphic theme to life across digital and print platforms. This role supports brand consistency while giving creative freedom within the established design system.
- Design graphics for matchdays, player spotlights, sponsor features, and announcements.
- Adapt the club’s seasonal design theme for social media, website, and in-stadium use.
- Collaborate with social media, video, and partnerships interns to align visuals.
- Prepare assets for print and digital distribution.
Timing & Commitment: Start immediately; 6–10 hrs/week through July, flexible scheduling with key deadlines before each match.

Ticketing & Data Intern
Focus: Support AFC Ann Arbor’s ticketing operations and fan engagement analytics, helping optimize sales and improve the overall fan experience.
- Manage and update ticketing products and campaigns in the Vivenu platform.
- Track sales trends and generate weekly ticketing reports.
- Analyze Mailchimp and web traffic data to inform marketing decisions.
- Support promotional campaigns such as season ticket and Black Friday sales.
Timing & Commitment: Start immediately; 6–10 hrs/week through July.

Sponsorship & Partnerships Intern
Focus: Support AFC Ann Arbor’s business development and sponsorship fulfillment efforts by helping grow and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
- Research and compile lists of potential sponsors and partners.
- Assist in preparing outreach materials and sponsorship proposals.
- Track and manage sponsorship deliverables (signage, social media mentions, hospitality).
- Support the creation of recap reports and presentations for partners.

Community Relations & Events Intern
Focus: Strengthen AFC Ann Arbor’s off-field impact by supporting community events, volunteer initiatives, and donation drives with local partners and organizations.
- Assist in planning and executing community engagement events throughout the season.
- Coordinate donation and volunteer drives in partnership with local nonprofits.
- Help manage the club’s community calendar and maintain partner contact lists.
- Write short event recaps and gather photos for social and newsletter features.

Communications & Public Relations Intern
Focus: Support AFC Ann Arbor’s external communications and storytelling efforts by managing media relations, writing content, and amplifying the club’s voice in the community.
- Draft press releases, match previews, and post-match summaries.
- Write website and newsletter stories highlighting players, staff, and community partners.
- Maintain and update media contact lists.
- Assist with coordination of media coverage and interviews.

Sports Science & Performance Intern
Focus: Support AFC Ann Arbor’s player performance, recovery, and wellness programs through data collection, organization, and research.
- Assist coaching and training staff with player wellness and availability tracking.
- Record and organize training data, including attendance and session notes.
- Research women-specific performance and recovery best practices.
- Help manage logistics for athletic training and recovery sessions.
Timing & Commitment: Start immediately; 6–10 hrs/week through July.

Operations & Integration Intern
Focus: Help connect the dots across AFC Ann Arbor’s departments, ensuring smooth coordination between creative, communications, community, and operations teams.
- Coordinate information and assets between departments (graphics, social, video, sponsorship, and community outreach).
- Maintain project tracking documents and weekly internal updates.
- Support pre-match preparation by aligning communications and partner activations.
- Assist with logistics, documentation, and organization of shared resources.
