Eric Rudland



Eric Rudland was named Sporting Director & Men’s Head Coach in September of 2015. Rudland made an immediate impact guiding Ann Arbor’s transition into the National Premier Soccer League and helping The Mighty Oak earn a playoff berth in their first season in the NPSL (2016). He continued to build off the success of his first season in Ann Arbor by winning back-to-back NPSL Great Lakes Championships (2017 & 2018). He also helped the club advance to consecutive Midwest Region Finals (2017 & 2018).

Previously, Rudland spent two successful seasons at the helm of Lansing United. While with United, Rudland won a Conference Championship, Midwest Regional Championship & advanced to the NPSL National Semi-Finals.  

Rudland has an uncanny knack of bringing diverse groups of players together and formulating an environment that produces results. Rudland’s professional & amateur coaching experience includes stops with Lansing United (NPSL),  Crewe Alexandra FC (English Championship Div) & the Michigan Bucks (PDL). Rudland was the Head Coach at Spring Arbor University (NAIA), where he was awarded the  NSCAA/NAIA Mid-East Coach of the Year & nominated as the Select Sport/NAIA National Coach of the year in 2012. He is also founder and director of the Midwest Pro Soccer Combine.
